Whiteside back to The Otters???

Dickie Dunn – Biker Chicks & Hockey Quarterly

The recent pugilistic escapades of Wally Whiteside has this reporter taking another look at the former Otter blueliner.
Whiteside’s dedication to winning and team focus had been called into question during his last tenure with the Otters. Reports of focusing on personal stat padding as well as times Whiteside was observed reading copies of Hang Glider & Juggs Magazine in between ice shifts, has put him in the same category as other troubled athletes like Terrell Owens, Rickey Williams and Dennis Rodman.

I caught up with Otter GM Aden on his way back from the Board of Governors meetings in Boston, and asked him about Whiteside.

“Well, I first heard about Wally’s latest exploits on HockeyFights.com” said Nolet. “Maybe this is Wally trying to display his new found toughness and grit. I mean; when he played in the Tahoe tournament this year he basically stole a motorboat and took it for a joyride.”

Nolet continued to say, “It is no big news, that with the Otters recent success, teams have been taking some liberties with some of our players. Just 3 weeks ago a member of the Yaks said some pretty discouraging things about my mom. I mean, you learn in kindergarten, that you NEVER say anything about someone’s mother!”
During the game that Nolet was speaking about, Otter defenseman, David Warner answered the challenge and was seen making some discouraging remarks back to the opposition's bench.
“I like Dave sticking up for my mom like he did, but we cannot rely on a senior citizen to be the enforcer of our team, said Nolet”
This reporter can only wonder if Wally Whiteside is trying to step up and let us all know that he is ready to step up and fill that grider roll the Otters need
